The City Sensing project is presented at the Milan Design Week 2014 that takes place from April 8th till 14th.

There are new ways for disclosing and exposing emerging issues and uses of our cities through the vast quantities of data and information produced by the proliferation of digital technologies. The new challenge for urban studies lies in the integration between the digital footprints left by people, by tweeting or using bike sharing service, and the innovative uses of traditional data, like call data records.

City Sensing allows you to feel the pulse of the city in real-time! The technology is based on the use of heterogenous information flows exploiting cutting-edge big data analysis and data visualisation methods. The project will be presented to the public during Milano Design Week 2014 in Mediateca di Santa Teresa (via della Via della Moscova, 28, 20121 Milano, Italia) from April 8th to 13th, 2014. The multi-media content proposed in the six days will be published on City Sensing website.
