Master students and EIT alumni: block 6-8 November next !
Open innovation is at the core of the entire European Institute of Innovation and Technology. And that is exactly why students and alumni from three KICs, namely EIT Digital, InnoEnergy and Climate-KIC are organising a weekend event to work together on the multi-disciplinary challenges of today and tomorrow within an entrepreneurial context. EIT Alumni Startup Days are taking place simultaneously in Amsterdam, Barcelona, Berlin, Paris and Stockholm in the weekend 6 - 8 November 2015
At EIT Digital, students understand that in order to rethink the fundamental ways, in which they generate ideas and bring them to market, they need to harness external ideas while leveraging their internal capabilities. During their study at the 2-year EIT Digital Master School, it was important to learn the steps to get closer to a business success. The Innovation and Entrepreneurship programme was of added value to gain business insights. Hence, the EIT Startup Days point out that this was just a good start and that the Challenge continues; also after graduation!
For who?
EIT Alumni Startup Days are open to students and alumni from EIT Digital, Climate KIC and KIC InnoEnergy, as well as external participants. The 54-hour event aims to foster cross-KIC collaboration, spark new venture creation, raise awareness and strengthen the brand of the EIT and its KICs. Next to an opportunity to students to put into practise the entrepreneurship skills acquired through the study curricula at the KICs. A number of mentors will coach the startup teams and a jury will evaluate their value propositions, rewarding the best ones and encouraging them to continue working on their concepts.

You are invited to join this first of its kind cross-EIT alumni event and have an inspiring, fun weekend collaborating on innovation challenges that matter to you. The programma starts on Friday 6 November at 5:00 pm and closes on Sunday 8 November evening after the joint dinner.
Planned programme
During the Startup Days, the community from the three active KICs (Climate KIC, KIC InnoEnergy and EIT Digital) as well as external non-EIT participants will form teams to work on their own business ideas with a focus on sustainable development. The unique mixture of people, will bringing various competencies to the table such as software development, engineering, knowledge about sustainability issues or business creation skills.
