STING Day, May 7 2015, connects 60 tech start-ups with more than 100 investors from around the world. We exclusively invite the most promising entrepreneurs, the brightest investors and the most interesting industry profiles to network and help build the global companies of tomorrow. The startups are selected from four areas - ICT, Internet/Media, Cleantech and Life Science.

A number of EIT ICT Labs supported startups will be participating, getting the opportunity to showcase their products and services in the expo area and to pitch and speed date in breakout sessions. EIT ICT Labs is also sponsor of the event and will be present to promote the Idea Challenge 2015, launching the day before on May 6th.

Furhat Robotics: A social robotics revolution is on its way, and Furhat Robotics is at the bleeding edge. Using back-projection technology and facial animation, we make robot heads that appear very natural and human-like, and using our software platform the robots are able to communicate and interact with people on human terms.

Gleechi sells a software solution that makes it possible to animate realistic hand movement and interaction in games and virtual reality. The software is based on eight years of robotics research and solves a common problem within the 3D animation industry.

Severalnines provides automation and management software for open-source databases. We help companies deploy their databases in any environment, and manage all operational aspects to achieve high-scale availability. Founded in 2011 in Stockholm, Severalnines today has over 100 enterprise customers including organisations like BT, Orange, Cisco, CNRS, Technicolor, AVG, Ping Identity and Paytrail.

LUP creates a new information standard for truck freight. A GPS-navigator can tell the truck driver the best route between A and B. LUP is a directory and a map for telling what A and B is.
