The BrassTacks training programme organised by EIT ICT Labs Budapest APG and Hungarian Mobility and Multimedia Cluster is an intensive, practice oriented workshop with interactive modules focusing on the knowledge and skills which are the most useful for early-stage startuppers. The programme is carried out within the framework of the international networking programme of EIT ICT Labs called Outreach Programme and will take place on 19-21 November 2014 at the Budapest CLC.

BrassTacks is a three-day, intensive, hands-on, interactive workshop with modules focusing on the most immediately useful knowledge and skills for early-stage startuppers, led by experienced international and Hungarian entrepreneurs and experts. The participants will spend the three days with 4-6 other outstanding CEE entrepreneurial teams and key players in the Hungarian startup ecosystem. They get all this at absolutely no cost to them, as even their travel and accommodation costs will be covered by the organizers.

Invited guest speaker of the event: Can Ertugrul, who is a stARTist by passion and has been very active within the startup community in CEE in the last years. He is Co-Founder and Board Member of AustrianStartups, a community-initiative to promote the startup ecosystem in Austria.

The course targets Central-Eastern European entrepreneurs who:

  • are fluent in English;
  • are building early-stage tech startups
  • which are less than three years old;
  • have raised less than € 300k so far;
  • are building the next great thing, especially - but not necessarily - in one of the EIT ICT Labs focus areas;
  • and are at a stage when they can take real advantage of an intensive training course covering the essentials of successful startup entrepreneurship.
