Meet Anne-Marie Kermarrec, CEO of Mediego, a successful startup that provides online personalization services for e-commerce companies and content editor at the Rennes Innovation Talks event organized by EIT Digital.

Personalization should now be at the heart of every marketing strategy to enhance customer experience and boost sales and Web traffic. Mediego, a startup founded in 2015 by Anne-Marie Kermarrec and Sébastien Campion, Inria* researchers, commercializes online personalization services for e-commerce companies and content editor. It enables e-commerce and content editor companies to provide the right products to the right people at the right time. The Mediego technology, a relevant and easy to integrate user-centric collaborative filtering, comes from the Inria Research lab and was initially developed in the context of the ERC (European Research Council) project led by Anne-Marie Kermarrec at Inria Rennes.

Mediego Anne-Marie Kermarrec is the CEO of Mediego since 2015. Before that she was a research director at Inria where she led the ASAP research team. She joined Inria in 2004 after several years as a researcher at Microsoft Research in Cambridge (UK), a postdoc year at Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam and a PhD at University of Rennes 1. Her research focused on peer-to-peer systems, privacy and personalization in distributed systems. She got the Montpetit award from the French Academy of Science in 2011 and is a member of the European Academy of Science. Mediego is a direct outcome of her research results and has been laureate of ILAB 2015, the French competition of innovative startup companies.
