EIT Digitals' Action Line Privacy Security and Trust will join the NC SRA Symposium 2015 on 2 November, New Babylon, The Hague. The event takes place during the 2015 ‘Alert Online’ period, the Dutch governmental campaign for cybersecurity awareness. This symposium offers possibilities for knowledge sharing and community building in cybersecurity research and innovation.

The NCSRA symposium is for everyone who is interested or involved in cybersecurity research, development, innovation and education. The event is a meeting place for former, current and possibly future executors of cybersecurity R&D projects (scientists, students, entrepreneurs), public and private research partners, potential profit and non-profit users of research results, teachers and policy makers.

Special attention is paid to subjects like (higher) education in cybersecurity, cybersecurity experimentation and tools and interdisciplinary cybersecurity research. Results of a workshop on privacy research with Dutch and US-researchers, held one month prior to this symposium, will be shared. A number of respected international experts to give a presentation is invited. Also there will be an information market with contributions from many parties, like knowledge institutions, small, medium and big enterprises in the area of cybersecurity. EIT Digital lines up at this information market with a stand.

The symposium is organised by the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RvO), the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC), Applied Science Organisation (SIA) and the Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research (NWO) in close cooperation with the ICT Innovation Platform for Security and Privacy (IIPVV).

Since 2007 the Dutch IIPVV unites researchers from industry and academia, users as well as representatives from government in the Netherlands in the area of ICT security and privacy. The IIPVV, among others, is responsible for the publication of the Dutch National Cyber Security Research Agenda (NCSRA).
