How to get 100 million users King’s Candy Crush Saga has drawn millions to social mobile games. Lars takes us through the King saga and what it takes to produce such successful games. What separates the extremely successful mobile games and apps from the rest of the pack? Lars will go through some of the key characteristics and learnings from King’s success with Candy Crush Saga, and how these characteristics can be applied to app development in general.

Biography

Casual social games on Facebook, in your smartphone or even within a social messaging platform like Kakao is Lars Jörnow’s speciality. If you, like 100 million other users ever played Candy Crush Saga or Bubble Witch Saga, then you know that Lars Jörnow’s track record is impressive. He is in fact one of key people behind these mega success games. Today head of growth at King, Lars has worked closely with the teams behind the global mobile hit games, then as King’s VP Mobile. Today, his focus is about leapfrogging the company’s progress in strategically important products, geographies and partnerships. Lars has also earlier on held the position of Product Manager/Producer for Bubble Witch Saga on Facebook, product manager for Miner Speed on Facebook, iOS, Android and Funflow on Facebook. A degree in Economics and Political Science from Denison University (USA) in his pocket, Lars has also worked as a strategy and management consultant.
