The aim of the European Days for Sustainable Circular Economy event is to promote a low-carbon, climate resilient circular economy. This flagship event will be held on September 30th – October 1st in Helsinki in connection with Finland’s Presidency of the Council of the European Union.

Day 1, September 30th. The joint conference.

As part of the programme, Mr Dirk Jan van den Berg, Chairman of the EIT Governing Board will give the following Key Note: Empowering Europe’s Research and Innovation to Support Transition to Low-carbon, Climate-resilient Circular Economy. EIT Digital CEO, Mr Willem Jonker, will attend a policy level panel discussion focusing on what sustainable systemic transition requires and benefits from cross-sectoral and multifactor-collaboration.

Day 2, October 1st. Three parallel conferences:

  1. CE 2019 Conference - Sustainable transition to a low-carbon, climate resilient circular economy: creating the knowledge base.
  2. Manufacture 2019 Conference - Sustainable Smart Manufacturing
  3. Sustainable Innovations 2019 Conference, jointly organized by EIT Digital, EIT Raw Materials and EIT Food.

This two-day event is relevant to all who wish to contribute to enhancing the uptake of circular economy practices. The event programme will focus on scientific and practical knowledge on the transition towards a sustainable and resilient circular economy-based society and industry.
