Welcome to Google Innovation Jam II at EIT ICT Labs Helsinki on Wednesday 21 May!

Experimentation for successful innovation with Dr. Frederik G. Pferdt.

9.00 – 9.20 Google & Big Data by Invited Guest Dr. Alon PeledDepartment of Political Science & Public Administration, The Hebrew University of Jerusalem 

Dr. Peled will share about Google and his research project under the Google Research Awards. Dr. Peled is a faculty member at The Hebrew University, the top ranked university in Israel and #59 in the global Shanghai Rankings.

9.30 – 11.45 Innovation Jam II: Experimentation for Successful Innovation by Dr. Frederik Pferdt, Head, Creativity & Innovation Programs, Google

Session builds up on the Innovation Jam I, presented by Google’s Frederik Pferdt during his visit to EIT ICT Labs on November 2013. Dr. Frederik Pferdt is based at Google’s headquarters, in Mountain View, California.

Who can attend? 

The Jam is meant for EIT ICT Labs' Master and Doctoral Students, start-ups affiliated with EIT ICT Labs as well as other Aalto University students.

Seats are limited to 70 so please register here to secure your place. Deadline for registrations is 14 May. The Jam is free of charge. 

About Dr. Frederik Pferdt

Dr. Frederik G. Pferdt is the Head of Innovation & Creativity Programs at Google and leads a talented team which catalyzes 10x thinking at Google by building a thriving innovation environment.

Frederik is co-founder of “The Garage” at Google and was nominated as a visiting scholar at the Center for Design Research (d.school), Stanford University and research scholar at EdLab, Columbia University. As the founder of LearningDesign:Lab, he created award-winning user-centered design experiences for various groups -- from kindergartners, to teachers, to CEOs. As a Lecturer at Stanford University, he feels lucky to see students being empowered through user-centered, prototype-driven design so that they can do cool things that matter in the world. He has also authored and co-authored books and has written more than 18 articles about Innovation, Design Education, eLearning, Change Management and Mentoring. He currently lives in Silicon Valley with his wife and two sons, and draws inspiration from his boys' childish minds and playfulness. 

The Google Innovation Jam II is organized is cooperation with EIT ICT Labs and Otaniemi.fi.
