ICT 2013 - Vilnius on 6-8 November, 2013
ICT 2013 Conference and Exhibition is organised by the European Commission. The Vice President of the European Commission, Neelie Kroes and the President of the Republic of Lithuania, Dalia Grybauskaitė will open the conference. Speakers from across the ICT sector will address a range of issues from cloud computing, broadband, ICT infrastructures, skills, cyber security, visions on the future and much more. 

EIT ICT Labs @ ICT 2013 Conference & Exhibition

EIT ICT Labs will be present at ICT 2013 with a dedicated networking session and a booth. Besides several speakers of the EIT ICT Labs community participate in the speakers programme and the exihibition as well. 

Visit EIT ICT Labs in Hall 5 booth 5G2 at the exhibition and join the EIT ICT Labs Networking Session on 8 November, in Room H1C, 11:00 hrs.

Networking Session: Educate & Innovate: EIT ICT Labs’ Outreach Strategy
The session gives insight in EIT ICT Labs, the Outreach programme and its activities for 2014.

Presenters: Marko Turpeinen, Node Director Helsinki, Zoltan Horvath, Director of the EIT ICT Labs Budapest Associate Partner Group, Udo Bub, Node Director of EIT ICT Labs Germany and Fabio Pianesi, Research Director EIT ICT Labs.

The Outreach programme aims to activate start-ups by building strong ties to EIT ICT Labs action lines and other EIT ICT Labs related innovation programmes and contests. Besides, the programme provides various scholarship schemes to support the talented ICT students to join the EIT ICT Labs Master School which offers an international two-year master programme in 19 leading top universities. Further goal is to develop fruitful collaboration partnerships which span all EU countries outside the EIT ICT Labs network. As part of this, events are planned among others, in Split, Ljubljana, Riga, Cluj-Napoca and Bucharest where local universities, research institutions and entrepreneurs can get acquainted with the EIT ICT Labs. The mobility programme helps local professors, researchers and students to become partners of international EIT ICT Labs projects.The programme has to be considered as an outreach to all the countries not directly connected to the EIT ICT Labs network. The focus countries are: Poland, Czech Republic, Latvia; Slovenia, Slovakia, Croatia, Romania, Bulgaria, Estonia, Croatia. 

More than 4000 researchers, innovators, entrepreneurs, industry representatives, young people and politicians are expected in Vilnius.
