Idea Challenge for Health & Wellbeing:
Finals and Award Ceremony on May 21st
Location: High Tech Campus, Eindhoven, The Netherlands

The Idea Challenge for the topic Health & Wellbeing organises the finals for the contest back to back with an exhibition and symposium organised by Cordian. The Award ceremony takes place on 21 May at 17:00 hrs on stage; in front of the audience of the symposium. Cordian is one of the SMEs that participated in 2013 in the EIT ICT Labs Health & Wellbeing Business Community.

The theme of the event is: ‘Intra-mural Innovations for Extra-mural Care’. The aim of the Cordian event on 21 May is: Foster the usage of innovations applied successfully in care facilities (intra-mural care) also in the ambulatory care (extra-mural care) leading to homogeneous ‘trans-mural’ working concepts.

This Symposium facilitates discussions and exchange of know-how about innovations in care facilities (intra-mural care) and home care (extra-mural care). This topic is currently very actual as more and more elderly (and other people in need of care) shift from more intensive care environment (such as care facilities) towards less intensive care environments (home intra-mural care / extramural care).

In the upcoming years it is of utmost importance to evaluate innovations, which can be applied for people requiring care in the home care market (extra-mural). Furthermore the day will give the participants the opportunity to network with care management, authorities, government representatives Small Medium Sized Enterprises ad care professionals.
