Share your opinions with the EIT Digital e-participation app Flashpoll!

Join us for the afternoon of May 9 for a screening of the film The Great European Disaster Movie, by Annalisa Piras and Bill Emmott, and share your thoughts and learn about the e-participation platforms such as Flashpoll and Opin.

May 9 is Europe Day, manifested in many ways in the European Union. At the EIT Digital Co-location Centre in Stockholm we invite you to a session about the future of ICT and democracy within EU.

Based on the much-discussed film “The Great European Disaster Movie” we will talk about the future of democracy in Europe and if and how digital participation can get more young people involved in political decision-making and increase trust in political institutions.

We welcome anyone who is interested in the subject to take part in the event, especially the EIT Digital Master students. Please join and bring a diverse set of experiences to the discussion.

Konrad Tollmar, Mobile Services Lab, KTH will introduce the e-participation tool-boxes Flashpoll and OPIN.

The FlashPoll app for smartphones, developed in EIT Digital innovation area Digital Cities, is an innovative approach towards a better involvement of citizens in municipal decision-making processes through location based flash polling.

The OPIN, a European toolbox for youth e-Participation projects, is targeting organisations and public administrators of any size and level and provides both tips and tools for setting up and running participation processes for young people across Europe.

Venue: EIT Digital Stockholm CLC, Isafjordsgatan 22, elevator C, floor 3
