BI-MU, set to take place on 9-13 October in Milan, is considered one of Europe's most important fairs dedicated to metal cutting and metal forming machine tools, robots and automation in manufacturing.
With digital manufacturing and enabling technologies being at the core of this year's edition, no player is better fit for participating than EIT Digital, which will showcase a wide range of solutions for industrial performance and energy consumption monitoring, data communication, analysis and processing and 3D printing, developed by six highly innovative scaleups belonging to the EIT Digital Accelerator.
Italian scaleup Creactives uses a unique combination of "deep learning" and knowledge engineering, to make sense of unstructured supply-chain data. French company Metron, through machine learning algorithms and dedicated knowledge bases, allows companies to predict and proactively reduce energy consumption and also enables more advanced optimisation strategies.
German scaleup Trinckle 3D printing service enables the customer-specific adaptation of any product, streamlining the design process and eliminating the need for CAD know-how. Other three accelerated companies coming from France will bring their top-level expertise to the fair.
CopSonic enables highly-secured communication and interaction between devices through a unique system of ultrasound waves. Data transfers are achieved through a device's existing microphones and speakers, therefore making the technology hardware agnostic.
A low-cost and easy to set up solution for connecting industrial facilities and monitoring machines' performance is provided by TeepTrack by using the latest technologies (Android-based tablet, sensors, Bluetooth), to make performance information available in real time. SonoBeacon has developed an audio technology to transmit any kind of information from news to special offers in close range with unmatched technical accuracy.
EIT Digital's array of cutting-edge solutions will be visible at booth A58 in Pavilion 13.
