SubjectStarting your own company – Crash Course Entrepreneurial spirit is bubbling at EIT ICT Labs and several researchers and student groups are on the verge of starting their own companies. Upon request we have invited business coach Raoul Stubbe from STING to give a one hour crash course in setting up your own company. This crash course will focus on practical advice rather than theory. Take the chance to bring your list of questions and get some practical advice.

Biography

Raoul Stubbe is Business Coach at Stockholm Innovation and Growth. He started Proximion Fiber Optics in 1998 and as CEO and later CTO participated in building a venture capital financed international export company with 90 employees today. He himself has completed the entire, sometimes painful journey, from thinking as a researcher to thinking as an entrepreneur and businessperson. 
Earlier, he worked at the research institute ACREO on tasks from Swedish industry. He has researched and written a doctorate in fibre optics, which has given him good insight to the university world the researcher day-to-day existence. Raoul is originally a civil engineer in theoretical physics. Raoul has an eye for evaluating new technologies, their scalability and commercial potential and is driven by creative and innovative processes and people who want to change the world in a positive way.
