STING Day 2014 - connecting 75 startups and 100+ investors!

Do you run a tech startup that has a large market potential? Then your company should join STING Day on May 8th! There will be 75 exciting startups that will showcase their tech innovations in the areas of ICT, Internet/Media, Cleantech and Medtech/Life Science. 40 startups will pitch. Apply before Sunday April 13 to be one of them.

The program at STING Day will apart from excellent networking provide insights from entrepreneurs, business angels and investors. Key note speakers include Stina Ehrensvard, the CEO and founder of Yubico, and co-inventor of the YubiKey, Jacob de Geer, Swedish serial entrepreneur and the founding CEO of iZettle and Stefan Glänzer, who is both an entrepreneur and an active investor, as well as a firm believer in European entrepreneurship.

This year will see a new feature when things are turned around and a number of Investors get to pitch for a panel of entrepreneurs! Moderated by Tyler Crowley, host of STHLM Tech Meetup, these investors will pitch: Erik Byrenius, Founder Online Pizza (business angel), Kerstin Cooley, CEO Moor (Family Office), Staffan Helgesson, General partner Creandum (Venture Capital) and Miriam Grut Norrby, Investment Manager Schibsted Growth (Corporate Venture).

In the Entrepreneurs panel we find one of the EIT ICT Labs candidates for the EIT Awards, Volumental’s CEO Caroline Walerud. In November 2012, she co-founded Volumental with three computer vision experts at KTH. She topped 2013’s Supertalent list in Sweden (previous winners include Daniel Ek, founder of Spotify and Stina Honkamaa, CEO Google Sweden). Other interesting entrepreneurs in the panel are Johan Attby, CEO of Fishbrain, ranked one of the most promising early stage companies in Europe, and Niklas Agevik, CEO and co-founder of Instabridge, a startup that helps users be automatically connected to wifi wherever they are. And there is still a seat to be filled in the panel – are you interested, contact STING (jill.lindstrom@stockholminnovation.com)
