The Wellbeing Innovation Camp will bring together students, researchers, and company representatives to provide a view to latest research activities and business actors related to health and wellbeing. A multidisciplinary view on how information technologies can be applied to support the health and wellbeing of people is the focus of the summer school.
The Summer School lasts two weeks, with the first week in Vierumäki, Finland (Aug 29 - Sept 2, 2011) and the second in Eindhoven, The Netherlands (Sept 19-Sept 23). During the summer school, students carry out a project work on a health and wellbeing related case in multidisciplinary teams. Ideation and concept definition is followed by creating a business case of the project. The camp features teaching and inspirational exercises on business creation & venturing, concept design, wellbeing experiences and observations of practice of wellbeing & ICT.
The Wellbeing Innovation Camp will be attended by approx. 50 students of ICT, design and business from about 5 Nodes, as well as by researchers and company representatives.
