EIT ICT Labs Stockholm starts new Wednesday Lunch Talks and the first talk on October 3 will kick off a NFC trial and user group study at the CLC!
Students and partners of EIT ICT Labs Stockholm are welcome to the first lunch talk in a series that will take place every fortnight on Wednesdays at 11.00-13.00 at the Co-location centre.

Abstract
NFC, Near Field Technology, is a relatively new radio communication technology
which allows mobile phones to replace many of the cards we currently carry in our wallets. Telcred uses the network aspect of NFC phones to develop an access control system which function offline, while being able to cope with frequently changing users and temporary access rights. A trial version of the system is installed at the EIT ICT Labs Stockholm Co-location Centre and you have now the opportunity to use the system.
Bio
Carlo Pompili is the CEO of Telcred and one of the co- founders. He has worked with new business creation in the ICT and Telecom industries for 15 years as an entrepreneur, investor and consultant. Prior to starting Telcred in 2009 he was responsible for product management at the niche mobile phone operator Nordisk Mobiltelefon (now Net 1) and before that he was working with business development at SICS. From 1997 to 2003 he co-founded and was a partner in Real Venture Group, an early stage investment company focusing on mobile Internet applications. Carlo holds a M. Sc. in Industrial Engineering and Management from Chalmers University of Technology.
Students taking part of the trial
The EIT ICT Labs Master School students in ICT Innovation will take an active part in the trial for everyday visits to the CLC between 9.00 and 17.00 when the ordinary access cards will be deactivated.
