For the first time, STMicroelectronics (ST), a global leader in semiconductor technology, is sponsoring the EIT Digital Champions competition.
ST’s involvement in the 2025 edition brings a new focus on innovative digital solutions for the automotive sector, providing scaleups with a unique opportunity to collaborate with a key player in automotive electronics to make driving safer, greener and more connected.
With over 30 years’ experience in automotive electronics, STMicroelectronics is an innovative and reliable partner with whom to build the future of transportation. ST is leading in car electrification and digitalization with technologies and solutions that are enabling automotive suppliers and car makers to deliver a new era of software-defined vehicles, advanced driving automation systems, car connectivity and security. ST’s broad technology portfolio and expertise supports a wide range of automotive applications including power and energy management, chassis and safety, body and convenience, telematics and infotainment, image sensors, and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).
The EIT Digital Champions competition, now in its 12th year, is Europe’s top contest for deep tech startups. With ST onboard, the initiative now targets scaleups working on cutting-edge automotive applications like ADAS, in-cabin monitoring, and electrification, among others.
Selected scaleups may gain access to ST’s resources and expertise with the possibility to join ST’s internal incubator programmes like ST-Up, which help scale promising technologies.
ST’s involvement also aligns with the company's broader participation in the Important Project of Common European Interest on Microelectronics and Communication Technologies (IPCEI ME/CT), underlining its commitment to strengthening the microelectronics ecosystem and advancing innovation in Europe.

Finalists will pitch to international investors in January 2025, with winners receiving one year of tailored fundraising support from EIT Digital’s Growth Services team.
