Deep Tech will impact the daily lives of citizens without their noticing and is already positioned as an essential element of Europe’s digital economy. EIT Digital, the European organisation at the forefront of digital innovation with strong societal impact presents for the 2017 edition of its French Innovation Day, a rich sample of its deep tech activities that will change people’s lives within a few years. EIT Digital works on European collaborative projects and supports scaleups within its accelerator in different action lines: Wellbeing, Cities, Industry, Infrastructure, and Finance.

ELEMENT: Early detection of cognitive disorder based on speech analysis
ELEMENT is developing an application (DELTA) that allows neuropsychological assessment for cognitive decline, such as dementia. Since it is based on speech analysis in non-clinical contexts, it provides easier and faster diagnosis and intervention. Today, a start-up has been created (ki-elements) and the prototype of the application (DELTA) has been presented at various events including MEDICA 2017 in Dusseldorf.

The HANDCODE project provides training in a virtual environment for industrial applications. It aims to improve safety, reduce downtime and save costs for European industrial facilities.
