Neosensys, a startup specializing in video intelligence dedicated to in-store profitability, has developed the Data Sense solution as part of one of EIT Digital’s innovation activities. The solution enables retailers to optimize their merchandising and locations to offer more fluid purchase journeys that increase both revenue and profitability while lowering costs.

The Data Sense solution will be showcased at Digital Store along with a second innovative offer: Secure Sense, which boosts the profitability of video surveillance to significantly improve operator efficiency and reduce shoplifting.

"Our Digital Industry Action Line has developed a Business Intelligence solution for heterogeneous retail for relevant and accurate, customer behavior and brick and mortar store purchase analysis. We have enabled collaboration between companies and research centres," says Petri Liuha, Industry Action Line leader at EIT Digital.

"We have provided a collaborative project structure to organize the efforts of all partners involved in this innovation activity. This allowed efficient technology maturation that transformed the research team’s inventions in a concrete product solution that meets user needs. Moreover, thanks to our pan-European ecosystem, we can accompany the promotion of Data Sense internationally."

Yves Pichon, CEO and President of Neosensys said: "Neosensys was born from the desire to create a true enabler of innovation: a bridge between market needs and the work of scientists. EIT Digital has allowed us to make concrete progress with a genuine retail Business Intelligence solution that we are now able to market."
