The French scaleup Tessan has joined the EIT Digital Accelerator. Tessan has developed a connected medical cabin that offers patients a confidential space to consult doctors remotely. The cabin is equipped with seven medical devices: dermatoscope, otoscope, oximeter, stethoscope, thermometer, blood pressure and balance. The devices are remotely controlled by the doctor to provide precise measures for diagnosis and prescription.
“Our ambition is to democratize access to healthcare, in medical deserts as well as in cities,” says Jordan Cohen, CEO and founder of Tessan. “We aim to quickly attack the European market and strengthen our position as telemedicine solutions expert Europe-wide. The EIT Digital Accelerator will help us to achieve those objectives.”
The EIT Digital Accelerator provides tailor-made growth support for European tech scaleups by helping secure international customers and raise capital. In 2019, the programme was recognized by the intelligence company UBI Global as a World Top Public Business Accelerator in the World Benchmark Study 2019 -2020, and ranked Top 4 Accelerator Brand in the Startup Heatmap Report Europe.
Launched this year on the French market, Tessan has installed more than 60 cabins so far. They are placed in pharmacies and offer a full teleconsultation service to conduct consultations on six days per week. Being soundproof, they maintain confidentiality between patient and doctor teleconsultant.
