The Role
Head of Operations will be responsible for operational planning, efficiency, and cross-functional collaboration to drive growth and scalability for EIT Digital. Excellent at overseeing financial management, resource allocation, and stakeholder engagement to ensure seamless execution of proposals and projects. Passionate about leveraging technology and innovation to enhance operational performance and support EIT Digital’s mission of fostering digital transformation across Europe. A dynamic leader committed to continuous improvement, compliance, and delivering high-impact solutions in a fast-paced, international environment.
Main Responsibilities
- Lead and monitor process for new funding and income identification according to EIT Digital strategic needs. For selected opportunities, lead and ensure their acquisition and set up.
- Lead and oversee operational excellence in the implementation of projects portfolio and resource allocation to ensure sustainable growth and efficient use of funds, while working closely with the finance team on managing budgets, and financial planning.
- Lead and develop cross-functional teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, performance excellence, and continuous improvement.
- Drive the EIT Digital infrastructure and improve it by leveraging digital tools and platforms to enhance operational performance and drive innovation within EIT Digital’s activities.
- Coordinate activities for tracking of key performance indicators, generate reports, and provide insights to the leadership team to support data-driven decision-making.
- Work closely with education, innovation, business development, and marcom teams to align operations with organizational objectives and strategic priorities.
- Identify and implement best practices to enhance operational workflows, increase productivity, and reduce inefficiencies.
Qualifications and Experience
- At least 10 years of relevant experience. Experience in operations, project management and reporting is a requirement.
- Experience with Horizon Europe grant management and EU funding opportunities
- Experience working in fast paced environment and/or in an international organisation is an advantage.
- The candidate is to be proactive, service-oriented, capable of multi-tasking, and motivated to drive continuous improvement based on sound analysis.
- Good communication and outstanding organisational skills, including logistics. Proficient in MS Office tools and applications as well as common virtual presence tools and technologies.
Languages
Fluent in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of other European language is highly desirable.
Place of employment
Brussels or other EIT Digital office in Europe.
