The Role

As the Operations Team Lead, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of Innovation Analysts, while driving the implementation of specific activities . You will provide operational direction for the team, and ensure the successful delivery of support to EIT Digital's activities. Part of the role will be focused in driving the improvements of data management and analytics practices and infrastructure. Your role will involve overseeing the monitoring and reporting of KPIs, deliverables, processes, and impact together with other Business Units, as well as fostering a culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement.

Main Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership:
    • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Innovation Analysts.
    • Foster a collaborative and high-performance team culture.
    • Set clear goals and expectations for team members and provide regular feedback.
  • Operational Excellence:
    • Contribute to the development and implementation of standard templates, procedures, and processes.
    • Identify opportunities for innovation and process improvement.
    • Support key annual processes, including formal reporting to the EIT/European Commission, quarterly reporting, and business plan preparation.
  • Data Management and Analytics:
    • Drive the activities around data management and analysis to effectively support the organizational business needs
    • Lead a data quality
    • Provide suitable dashboard and reporting for EIT Digital management.
    • Collaborate with the IT team and relevant BUs to improve relevant IT infrastructure and tooling.

Qualifications and Experience

  • At least 5 years of relevant experience. Experience in project management is a requirement.
  • Demonstrated experience with Data Modeling and Data Reporting
  • Experience with Horizon Europe grant management and EU funding rules and guidelines
  • Experience with EIT as funding body is highly desirable
  • Experience working in fast paced environment and/or in an international organisation is an advantage.
  • The candidate is to be proactive, service-oriented, capable of multi-tasking, and motivated to drive continuous improvement based on sound analysis.
  • Good communication and outstanding organisational skills. Proficient in MS Office tools and applications as well as common virtual presence tools and technologies.

Languages

Fluent in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of other European language is highly desirable.

Place of employment

Brussels or other EIT Digital office in Europe.
