About the Role
EIT Digital is scaling its entrepreneurial education programs with an expanded focus on deep tech, business, and strategic vertical domains where digital technologies are key enablers of competitive advantage and sustainable growth. The role will work closely with the Director of Education and Skills to ensure that our education programs develop leaders and experts capable of transforming businesses and industries through cutting-edge digital technologies, particularly in sectors such as health, industry, cities, finance, energy, agri-food and green.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and “own” the delivery of EIT Digital education programs with particular focus on operational excellence, impact generation and financial sustainability.
- Work in close collaboration with the Director of Education & Skills to ensure EIT Digital offering remains best-in-class, entrepreneurial, and industry-relevant, with curricula continuously updated to reflect emerging trends and skills gaps in deep tech and business. Identify private and public funding opportunities to achieve this goal.
- Identify opportunities to develop new education programs particularly in high-growth sectors. Lead EIT Digital engagement in EU (Horizon Europe, Digital Europe Programme) and national funded initiative aiming at strengthening our offering, reach and impact.
- Foster Industry Partnerships and Co-Creation: Collaborate with EIT Digital’s ecosystem partners to co-create learning programs addressing the skills needs of tomorrow’s digital economy, especially in deep tech application areas (e.g., Industry 4.0, smart cities, digital health, sustainable energy, advanced materials).
- Strengthen the connection between Education, Unipreneurship and Innovation activities: work closely with EIT Digital’s Innovation and Entrepreneurship teams to ensure synergies between education programs and startup creation, venture building, and acceleration initiatives. Facilitate pathways for students and researchers to become founders and innovators in EIT Digital’s venture programs.
- Expand EIT Digital’s reach and impact: work in close collaboration with the ecosystem teams to grow the geographical reach and diversity of EIT Digital’s learner base, ensuring participation from across Europe and beyond. Position EIT Digital as a leading provider of deep tech education globally.
- Drive Financial Sustainability of education programs: Define and implement sustainable business models for education offerings, including public funded initiatives, partnerships, and sponsorships, contributing to EIT Digital’s overall financial sustainability.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Operational excellence: successful reviews of ongoing projects, maximizing impact and financial sustainability, minimizing errors, ineligibilities and under performance.
- Increased Enrolment and Diversity: Growth in the number of students and professionals enrolled across education programs, with increased diversity in geography, background, and gender.
- Program Excellence and Recognition: Recognition of EIT Digital’s education programs as leaders in deep tech and entrepreneurial education, evidenced by rankings, accreditations, and industry feedback.
- Financial Growth and Sustainability: Revenue generation from EU and national funded initiatives, tuition fees, partnerships, and custom programs, contributing to the financial sustainability of education initiatives.
- Strategic Partnerships: Number and quality of co-created programs with industry partners and public stakeholders, addressing specific skills needs in key verticals.
Language Requirements
Fluency in English (written and spoken) is essential.
Additional European languages (French, Dutch, Italian, Spanish, German, Finnish, Swedish, or Hungarian) are a plus.
Travel Requirements
Frequent travel between EIT Digital’s European offices and Brussels HQ, as well as external engagements with corporate partners and investors.
Location
Preferably at EIT Digital HQ in Brussels.
Other EIT Digital locations may be considered, provided there is easy access to key European innovation hubs.
