About the Role

As Innovation Lead you will be responsible for coordinating the scouting and/or participation in initiatives funded by European Commission and other International and National agencies for the Acceleration and Growth business unit of EIT Digital. The Innovation Lead is assigned the coordination and execution of EIT Digital Acceleration and Growth business unit activities in one of more activities. The Innovation Lead performs his/her tasks by also liaising with the other business units of EIT Digital.

Main Responsibilities

  • Overall responsibility for the application, organisation, planning and controlling the participation in the assigned programmes and initiatives funded by European Commission and other International and National agencies.
  • Liaising and aligning with the leaders responsible for EIT Digital strategy execution in the relevant area.
  • Representing the monetary and strategic position of the Acceleration and Growth business unit of EIT Digital when submitting and application for a programme or initiative.
  • Be the primary contact point for the programmes with the funding agency.
  • Liaising with partners, organise and manage the preparation and timely delivery of deliverables and reports to the funding agency, securing their quality.
  • Collect, monitor and integrate financial and administrative data from partners. Prepare them for submission to the funding agency.
  • Organise and manage effective consortium-internal communication channels.
  • Organise and manage scouting of programmes and initiatives funded by European Commission and other International and National agencies.
  • Participate in executing innovation programmes, initiatives and activities of EIT Digital.
  • Take part in designing, creating and fine-tuning innovation programmes, initiatives and activities of EIT Digital.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Master’s degree in Science, Technology, preferably Engineering or Mathematics (STEM), Computer Science or Information Technology;
  • Minimum of 10+ year’s relevant experience; work experience in large European partnership and projects in ICT;
  • 5+ years of proven project or programme management experience;
  • Relevant experience in managing innovation activities for startups, scaleups, open innovation or corporate innovation;
  • Excellent management skills with strong knowledge of administrative and financial aspects;
  • Proven experience with Horizon 2020/Digital Europe programmes;
  • Hands-on, entrepreneurial mind-set with effective leadership skills, proven team building capabilities and excellent communication skills;
  • Strong negotiation skills while seeking consensus and balance;
  • Capable of flexibly adapting to the demands and roles required.

Languages

Excellent command of English is required. Additional EU language is a strong asset.

Employment

This is a full-time position. Employment in one of our pan-European network of Co-Location Centers / HUBs can be considered. Applicant may be required for occasional travel to other European Co-Location Centers.
