Federico is EIT Digital’s Chief Executive Officer since March 2023. Prior to that he was the Chief Operations/Finance Officer as well as interim Chief Executive Officer since November 2022. He is responsible for the overall management of the organization, including the development and implementation of strategic objectives and directions. He is also in charge of EIT Digital’s operational and financial processes as well as the supervision, coordination and management of EIT Digital support functions such as IT, HR, Communications and legal. In addition, he is driving the acquisition of new EU-wide private and public activities, partnerships and income streams.
Federico joined the organisation in 2015 as innovation analyst and from 2017 to 2019 he led the Innovation and Education Operations team responsible for supporting the key EIT Digital processes related to the EIT grant cycle as well as the operational activities of the Innovation and Education pillars. From to 2020 to 2022 he acted as EIT Digital’s Head of Staff and Operations.
Prior to joining EIT Digital, Federico worked for several years for Vodafone Group where he was in charge of new technology transfer from trials and pilots to commercial deployment; in his most recent assignment, he led the pre-commercial pilot and the subsequent commercial launch of the 4G technology into some of the main Vodafone markets in Europe, including Italy and the UK.

Diva studied Genomic Biotechnology at La Sapienza University in Rome and holds a PhD in Bioinformatics from the University of Cambridge. She attended the Singularity University Graduate Studies Program (GSP) at NASA Ames to study the impact of exponentially growing technologies on our societies. Before being appointed as CIEO/CMO Diva was the Head of the EIT Digital Accelerator. In 2021 she worked as Investment Director for IT/ICT startups in Enea Tech after her first role in EIT Digital as Node Director for Italy in 2020.
Diva is also the founder of a robotics startup committed to transforming the power of indoor spaces by creating smart, accessible and connected products that is still operational to date. Today she sits on the board of SECO, a publicly listed Italian company, European leader in the field of embedded engineering.
She was nominated as "Top 50 European Women in Tech" by Forbes and has given three TEDx talks on the Italian startup ecosystem, the future of hometech and the global climate crisis. She was one of 40 people to be selected for the 2020 class of the European Young Leaders program (EYL40) led by Friends of Europe and has been a mentor of the Young Women’s Network as well as a member and curator of the Global Shapers association of the World Economic Forum and a Social Innovation Fellow of Meridian. She was awarded the Young Global Innovator Award in 2017 by the MIT Tech Review and has won the Pleiade International Award in Innovation & New Technologies bestowed by the House of Representatives in 2019.

Dr. Jesus Contreras has experience in innovation related activities within the ICT sector since 1998. He received his PhD from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid in Artificial Intelligence in 2004 and an MBA in 2006.
His career includes positions as research engineer in Software A.G., acting as Director for R&D in Intelligent Software Components (iSOCO), Head of Business Development at Denodo, and Chief Operating Officer at Taiger, all companies dealing with edge technologies creating new products or services. During his career, he was also part time teacher at several universities: Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, Universidad Rey Juan Carlos and evaluator of funded projects for the European Commission and Spanish government.

Lea Myyryläinen received a master’s degree in electrical engineering from the Helsinki University of Technology (today Aalto University), Finland. Throughout her 20 years of experience, Lea has been working in international environment and with various information technology products and solutions.
After a primary experience founding a start-up, Lea started her professional career in Jaakko Pöyry Consulting (an engineering consulting firm) as Automation Design Engineer and Consultant, before moving to Product Management roles with GE Healthcare Finland for healthcare technological solutions technologies.
She also held various leading positions at Nokia in the area of broadband and mobile applications, new technology sourcing, and business development. Lea was holding the position of Chief Marketing Officer and Vice President of Sales at Gillie AI (a start-up providing artificial intelligence analytics for health care) since 2018.
Lea is bringing her expertise in digital innovation combined with a solid experience and leadership in business development and product management for technologies solutions.

Morgan Gillis has a strong track record of delivering strategic and operational leadership to major collaborative ventures in Europe and the USA, building global ecosystems and leading young entrepreneurial enterprises in the mobile and digital arenas.
He served as Executive Vice President and Board Director of Symbian Software, a software platform company which was centrally involved in defining the smartphone category, for six years from start-up through to global leadership; Managing Director of SHL Plc, a market-leading SaaS provider listed on the London stock exchange; CEO of LiMo Foundation, a major joint venture of leading mobile carriers and technology vendors engaged in the development and commercialisation of an open platform for smart devices; and subsequently as CEO of Tizen Inc. before acting as a management consultant to start-ups and scale-ups in Silicon Valley for three years.
Morgan is also recognised as a leader with the capacity to effect industry-level influence via citation as one of the ‘Forty most influential executives within the global mobile field’ by telecoms.com and has extensive experience of working with government and academic bodies to shape their participation in the commercialisation of emerging technologies of major importance.

Tuan Trinh has 15+ years experience as tech leader and innovator with a strong background in R&D.
He has a broad background in ICT, both in industry and in academia. He received his MSc degree in Compute Science and his PhD in the same field at the Budapest University of Technology (BME) and Economics, Hungary. He worked as an associated professor in Computer Science at Corvinus University of Budapest, and as a visiting professor at University of Bern, Switzerland. Tuan Trinh has been invited as a visiting scientist at Ericsson Research Budapest (Hungary), British Telecom (UK), Eurecom Institute (France), University of Luxembourg (Luxembourg), ILNAS Luxembourg, among others. He also acted as an evaluator of funded projects for the European Commission and Hungarian government.
One of the main highlights of his carrier was to take a leading part in the foundation of two innovation centres focusing on Education-Research-Business integration at universities, namely the Network Economics Group at BME focusing on innovation on distruptive technologies in the frontier between economics and network technology and the Fintech Centre at Corvinus University of Budapest, an innovation centre focusing on Financial Technology.
Tuan Trinh is a recipient of the Pollák-Virág prize from the Hungarian Scientific Association for Infocommunications.

Elena Contioso-Fleming, MSc. in Telecommunications Engineering from the University of Seville having studied abroad at the University of Technology, Business Design Konstanz. In 2011, she took the Management Development Programme for International Centres of Excellence at the EOI Business School.
Before being appointed as Interim Regional Director South Elena was the Ecosystem Lead for Southern Europe based in Spain. She joined EIT Digital Digital as the Madrid Co-Location Centre Manager in 2018.
She started her career with startups simultaneously working as an entrepreneur in Germany. Prior to joining EIT Digital, she worked as General Manager at FIUS, the Research Foundation of the University of Seville. At the International Campus of Excellence Andalucía TECH, she was accountable for the execution, operations, and budgetary control. Over the last decade and a half she has held management roles in the domains of technology transfer, research and innovation.
